Rebecca Kahn

Rebecca Kahn is an eighteen year old high school senior from Portland, Oregon. She attends the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy of Beaverton, Oregon where she spends her time writing, dancing, and taking photos. She has been taking creative writing classes since 5th grade and now organizes her school’s annual writing festival and conjunctive writing contest, Pinwheel. She is a full company member in Dance West, a pre-professional dance company. A lover of all things Wes Anderson and school-boy Catcher In The Rye-esque books, she spends her time watching movies on Netflix and tweeting about Steve Buscemi.
Jake Schlack
Former Student Body President/Staff Writer
Jake Schlack is a seventeen year old senior at Arts and Communication Magnet Academy in Beaverton, Oregon, where he studies drawing, painting, and filmmaking. A political junkie at heart, he is the current President of ACMA Student Government and helped in that capacity to coordinate the revival of ACMA Savant. Schlack also interned for the Democratic Party of Oregon’s Coordinated Campaign during the 2014 midterm elections. Aside from politics, Schlack enjoys knitting and has memorized every Academy Award winner. (For example: Best Sound in 1984? Answer: Amadeus.)
Lena Puterbaugh

Lena Puterbaugh is a 15-year old sophomore in high school who lives in Portland, Oregon. She currently attends Arts and Communications Magnet Academy in Beaverton, Oregon where she enjoys spending time improving her writing. She has been interested in being a writer ever since she was in 5th grade, and will continue to pursue her love of writing. She loves to read novels and stay as attached to the Internet as possible simultaneously.
Keanna Tester

Keanna Tester is a senior at Arts & Communications Magnet Academy. She is part of ACMA's ceramics program and a member of ACMA's pre-professional dance company, Dance West. She spends her free time riding dirt bikes, listening to Rock n' Roll and restoring her 1971 Chevy Nova. After high school, she plans on joining a crew of pirates and sailing around the world swashbuckling and plundering.
Genevive Adams

Genevive Adams is very excited to be participating in the 2015 ACMA Savant! She is a passionate believer in students being able to explore new art forms and express their creativity which is why she is thrilled to be given this oppurtunity to be able to photograph events that have effected the ACMAnian's scholastic experience. Although Genevive doesn't focus on photography at ACMA, she is fond of explorng the art in her spare time, and is glad to be helping out the Savant..
Lauren Milsted

Lauren Milsted is a high school senior currently attending Arts and Communication Magnet Academy in Beaverton, Oregon. She started writing poetry in 9th grade and has since fallen in love with the art form. She also participates in her school’s visual arts program, focusing on drawing and painting. Outside of school, she is a member of Pacific Youth Choir, where she loves singing alto. Out of her many passions, writing is her favorite outlet.
Truman Fritz

Truman Fritz is a fifteen year old high school sophomore from Portland, Oregon. He currently attends Arts and Communications Magnet Academy located in Beaverton, OR, where he spends his time directing films, starring in plays, and enjoying the company of his fellow artists. He has been acting in plays and films since he was in 3rd grade, and has enjoyed every minute of it. He is also an aspiring film director and writer, and has spent a lot of time writing, directing, and editing short films. Described as a renaissance man to many, Truman has great pride in his past work, and hopes to continue making great work for years to come.
Madison Bonifacio

Madison Bonifacio is a sixteen year old sophomore attending the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy. She is from Portland, Oregon and enjoys writing, reading, drawing, and marathoning Lost in her free time. She’s been writing since she was in elementary school, but took her first creative writing class in freshmen year. With an ever growing collection of books she still has to read and a sad obsession with The Hobbit and Game of Thrones, she is looking forward to writing for the Savant.
Emily Forsman

Emily Forsman is a sophomore at the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy, where her main focus is music. She plays the oboe in the Classical Orchestra, and is a member of Classical Alive!. Emily also enjoys writing and photography. In her free time, Emily loves hanging out with friends, watching Netflix, eating food, and obsessing over her love for bread.

The Much Honoured, Lady Madeleine Finley Glenn of Glencoe was born in Seattle, Washington and moved to Portland, Oregon when she was four years old. She has placed first in the Tygh Valley Archery Tournament two years in a row and when she is not shooting a bow, enjoys writing, dancing, and playing tabletop games. Glenn was proclaimed a Lady at the age of fifteen, when her parents endowed her with a foot by foot plot of land in the Scottish Highlands. She is also working on becoming a world traveller, and hopes to get paid for writing of her experiences one day. Glenn attends Arts and Communications Magnet Academy where she is working to gain a writing endorsement at the end of her senior year.
Kvetka Sanchez was raised in the sunny city of San Jose California for 9 years. Upon moving to Oregon, Kvetka was accepted into Arts & Communication Magnet Academy where she currently attends as a junior in high school. It was ACMA that helped her discover her passion for dance and photography. Kvetka is (also) a member of Dance West, and takes motivation from her strong interest in the human body. With that being said, most of her photographs are inspired from people, their movements, and skin. Other than being on her toes or taking a photo, Kvetka enjoys singing in the shower, going on road trips and hikes, and being behind the camera as well. She’s a major earth lover, and is also convinced that she was a mermaid in her other life. Although the photographs asked for Savant are different from her style, Kvetka is excited to go beyond and expand her experiences in photographic variety with this project
Eddie Ortiz

Eddie Ortiz is a sixteen year old sophomore. He reigns from sunny Anaheim, California. He currently attends ACMA where he tries to sing and act. He has been singing since he could talk he even performed at a wedding at the age of two and got a gig as Judas in the Jr. musical of Godspell in the 8th grade. He is an active member of ACMA Synergy and in late September - October he spends most of his evenings volunteering at fright town that is...when he isn't playing varsity football for Valley Catholic High School. A few things he is passionate about are wild animals, hunting them and archery, he spends a majority of his time in his backyard teaching his siblings and some neighborhood kids archery when he isn't doing that you can almost always find him at archers airfield shooting a very unfortunate paper target stuck to a bail of hay.

My name is Sable Balmes. I am 13 years old and in 8th Grade. I live in Beaverton,Oregon. I go to Arts and Communications Magnet Academy. I am in the intermediate jazz band, playing flute. I also take interest in film, writing, photography, and ceramics. I have been doing art since i was 3 years old. I am trying to get into modeling, but I haven't found a company to work with yet. I spend a lot of my time doing gymnastics, watching Nexflix, and hanging out with my little brother.

Sarah Diamond is a 15 year old sophmore attending the Arts and Communications Academy of Beaverton, Oregon. There, she spends her time studying the arts of drawing, writing, animation, and theatre. She has been practicing drawing and creative writing since 4th grade, as well as starring as as soloist in several musicals. In her spare time she enjoys video gaming, writing, and learning sign language.
Rachael Pippen

Rachael Pippen is a sophomore of Beaverton, Oregon’s Arts and Communication Magnet Academy. She’s been writing and composing vocal and instrumental music since she was ten years old. Currently, she is a member of ACMA’s advanced vocal group Synergy, and the student run acapella group “Sola Voce”. She spends most of her free time reading, writing songs, and watching youtube cover videos. Rachael enjoys the creative writing process and is very excited to be a part of Savant to finally give something back to her peers and instructors.
